Volunteering at school

Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your child’s education as well as get to know the staff and other parents and carers.

Research shows that children benefit when their parents or carers are actively involved in their education and school life.

You can help by:

  • listening to children read in the classroom
  • volunteering on sports days
  • helping supervise excursions
  • getting involved in fundraising activities
  • joining school committees.

Getting involved

At Turramurra North School, the P&C plays an important role in supporting the school’s teaching and learning activities.

The P&C assists with resourcing a wide range of activities for our children to enhance and extend their experience at the school. Whether in class, on the field or stage, there is a very strong whole community approach to the well-being of our students.

These activities require the ongoing generosity of the community, both in time and funds. As such, the P&C undertakes a range of fundraising family events throughout the year. These fundraisers contribute to the school’s budget and ensure all students at can enjoy an engaging and fulfilling time at the school, no matter what their interests.

Whether you are a past, present or a future parent, please explore our web site and we welcome you to become a part of the TNPS community.
